Fancy Airport day

After packing up all the bits and pieces, cleaning the fridge, and emptying the garbage, I was ready to be whisked to the Mpls airport by my beloved spouse. The flight from MSP was uneventful but crowded. The planes and food on our local large carrier are tatty and bland, but heck I didn't pay $1600 to have fancy meals on a plane.

Landed at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. This is a HUGE airport, spotlessly clean in the parts I saw, with tons of space to sit, big windows everywhere (and they were clean), and 15 min of free wifi.

Then on to New Delhi. Landed there at some time, late. My watch isn't quite set right yet. Another HUGE airport, brand new in 2010.

Our check through for all the paperwork was quick and efficient, and by bag came right away (or I should say, Joan's bag with all my stuff in it). My traveling and research partner's bag did not arrive so he did the paperwork and were met by our Mizoram host, Mr. Chongthu and brought to the Hotel Diplomat instead of to the Mizoram guest house. Wifi here.

On Air France the wine is complimentary all flight long.

One thing I did not practice at home was uploading photos to Blogger from the iPad. Can't seem to get that going without using Picasa. Hmmm. Back to Wordpress maybe? Back to google search, "how to upload to blogger from ipad camera roll." Lots of trys, but finally. . . .

Hours later. . . cut and paste from camera roll. (this is my room at the Hotel Diplomat)
